Darcy Gallant grew up in the small rural community of New Annan, PEI, just ten minutes from Summerside. Growing up, he enjoyed sports (particularly hockey, soccer and baseball), and at the age of 21, he took the Correctional Officer’s program at Holland College.
Darcy worked for several years at the provincial correctional centers on Prince Edward Island, but found himself looking for a career where he could work more closely with people. He explored coaching various levels of baseball and hockey for seventeen years, where he obtained a level five within Hockey Canada’s Officials Program and also sponsored the Kensington Wild hockey team, the Summerside Western Capitals of the Maritime Junior A league, along with the junior golf program at the Eagles Glenn.
More than anything, Darcy is deeply connected to his work and to his community. Real Estate was the perfect match when he found himself looking for a career change that aligned with his values. It incorporated his love of homes, architecture, business, helping people and fostering community.
Darcy now makes his home in Summerside, PEI. Together with his beautiful wife Melissa, who teaches elementary school, they are kept busy chasing after two young boys (Harrison and Charlie) and their Saint Bernard pup, Sydney. Darcy enjoys living just minutes from work, being close to family friends and his many ties to the community.
